The First Year Curriculum often strikes 1L students as separate from and unrelated to the most pressing legal issues of the day. The opposite, however, is true.

At this event, Columbia Law School faculty teaching 1L classes will “teach their subject” through the lens of the right to abortion, showing how their subject is critical to the legal questions surrounding a right to abortion, reproductive autonomy, or sexual liberty.

Speakers:

  • Professor Katherine Franke, Torts
  • Professor Maeve Glass, Property
  • Professor Olatunde Johnson, Civil Procedure
  • Professor David Pozen, Constitutional Law
  • Professor Carol Sanger, Contracts & Criminal Law

Join us to see how the 1L curriculum could be taught through the question of abortion rights. This event will take place in JGH 102B. You can also attend virtually on Zoom. Register here: tinyurl.com/AbortionAsTheCurriculum
